Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
at Sanofi U.S.
CSR is not a new concept at Sanofi U.S. We have embraced and continue to integrate CSR principles into everything we do.
Why Corporate Social Responsibility?
As many of you know, Sanofi is transforming itself into a diversified global leader in healthcare. In order to support that transition, changes are occurring throughout the organization. Our passion for placing people and patients first has led us to create a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Function which brings together major initiatives including:
- Economic, social and environmental responsibility (sustainability)
- Access to medicines/healthcare and Humanitarian Partnerships
Our company has always been a leader in these areas but establishing this CSR function supports the new business paradigm by building new initiatives as well as improving existing ones. We have established a network of regional and country representatives in our operating model so that we can better implement the “spirit” of CSR within our Sanofi family worldwide.
In order to succeed as a business while supporting the future of patients and the public we develop our drugs and vaccines with an eye toward:
- Protecting our social, economic, and natural environment;
- Giving back to the communities in which we live and operate; and
- Providing for and supporting our employees.
We are pursuing these goals on behalf of our stakeholders - in particular, our patients, caregivers, and medical providers. We are hopeful that the information on this website will help the public appreciate our reason for being - to sustain a healthy future for us all.
