Inside Sanofi

The Future Is... Ours to Shape Into an Inclusive and Diverse World

June marks Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer (LGBTQ+) Pride Month, a time to honor the LGBTQ+ community. The COVID-19 pandemic continues to impact celebrations and in-person events throughout the U.S. and caused the cancelation of the legendary Pride march in New York City on its 50th anniversary.

In a recent LinkedIn article, Noel Geoffroy, North America Head of the Consumer Healthcare Business Unit, and co-executive sponsor of the company’s PRIDE Connect employee resource group (ERG), reflects on the theme of the NYC Pride event, “The future is…” and being part of a company that respects and supports equal human rights for all.

The company’s commitment to inclusion and diversity is one of the main things that attracted her to Sanofi in 2019. Sanofi has earned a reputation as an inclusive and diverse employer. The company was recently recognized (again) as a “Best Places to Work for LGBTQ Equality 2020” by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation. Sanofi has also signed on to two important initiatives aimed at LGBTQ+ equality: the Business Statement for Transgender Equality and the United Nations Free and Equal Standards of Business Conduct.

Sanofi is committed to fostering a culture of respect and equality, where employees can contribute diverse experiences, perspectives and ideas on behalf of the patients we serve. See a fact sheet on our commitment to LGBTQ+ inclusion. And, Sanofi offers inclusive benefits and resources to our employees, including health and welfare benefits for same-sex spouses and domestic partners and other resources.
