Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

We want to reflect the diversity of our communities, unleashing our best selves every day to transform the practice of medicine.

Our Inclusive Culture

At Sanofi, diversity, equity and inclusion aren’t just words. They’re part of our foundation. We want to reflect the diversity of our communities, unleashing our best selves every day to transform the practice of medicine. Our first DE&I Impact Report serves as both a moment of reflection on the progress we’ve made, as well as a catalyst for achieving greater impact, which our patients, customers, communities, stakeholders, and the broader healthcare community at large depend on.

Inclusion Reimagined 2023

On November 1-2 we hosted our first-ever Trust, Inclusion and Equity (TIE) Summit where we explored brave new pathways to drive greater inclusion and build equity within our healthcare systems. We all know about the disparities that currently exist in accessing healthcare, treatment quality and outcomes. We’re also aware of the limited success that conventional approaches have had in solving them. Which is why over two days Sanofians, policymakers, clinicians and community leaders came together to discuss innovative solutions that reimagine every aspect of how we provide healthcare in the hope of doing it better. As part of the summit we created a Communiqué, summarizing the key themes and ideas discussed and acting as a reference point for action.

A Diverse, Equitable & Inclusive Workplace

Sanofi respects the diversity of its people and works to create an inclusive workplace where everyone can be their true selves. Its employees represent the variety of Sanofi’s patients, customers and partners, which builds a better understanding of needs and forges stronger connections with the communities we serve. Sanofi people dare to be themselves and to celebrate their differences, be it race; color; creed; religion; national origin; age; ancestry; nationality; marital, domestic partnership or civil union status; sex, gender, gender identity or expression; affectional or sexual orientation; disability; or veteran or military status, in an environment that helps them achieve their full potential.

I am resolute in our organization's ability to achieve its ambitious goal to chase the miracles of science to improve people's lives while accelerating Sanofi's Diversity, Equity & Inclusion momentum.

A Million Conversations: Playing Our Part to Rebuild Trust

People need healthcare systems – at all levels – to better reflect society. So we must listen to marginalized communities more and use those insights to help the healthcare industry, policymakers and governments to fix the causes of these trust gaps.

Employee Resource Groups

Sanofi Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) tap into the richness of our diversity and offer employees a forum in which to exchange ideas, network and gain exposure to diverse backgrounds and varied lived experiences.

Diversity in Clinical Trials

At Sanofi, we aim to make clinical trials more inclusive through our bold and intentional approach. We strive to ensure trials are inclusive by design and represent the diversity of the patient populations who are living with the disease. We are meeting patients and providers where they are, including partnering with historically underrepresented racial and ethnic minority communities and other marginalized groups, to break down barriers and create a more equitable future. And we are pushing the boundaries of technology to achieve our diversity goals. To learn more about how Sanofi is leading the charge to improve health equity, click here.
