What it is: Community Health Centers (CHCs) are vital pillars in the lives of those often overlooked by traditional healthcare systems. In partnership with Direct Relief’s Health Equity Fund, Sanofi is investing $2 million in CHCs across Massachusetts, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. This signature commitment will specifically support innovative solutions CHCs are implementing to address the profound effects of the environment on respiratory health within their communities.

Why it matters: CHCs are the bedrock of care for over 32.5 million Americans annually, including 1 in 10 across the country. CHCs are a critical arm of the U.S. healthcare infrastructure, serving patients who often face significant barriers to primary care due to geography, insurance status, financial situation, lack of permanent address, and other social drivers. Despite their immense impact, CHCs remain significantly underfunded.

Powered by: Sanofi’s strategic investment and scientific expertise in respiratory health, united with Direct Relief’s trusted network and unparalleled operational reach, together are strengthening vital CHCs across the U.S. By empowering these frontline healthcare providers, Sanofi and Direct Relief are working together to foster healthier communities and ensure that everyone has access to quality care, regardless of their circumstances.
