Sanofi's commitment to patients in the U.S. runs deep through our extensive domestic manufacturing network. Across our U.S. facilities, Sanofi's manufacturing operations deliver more than 600 million medication units annually, ensuring American patients have reliable access to critical treatments.
Spanning facilities in New York, Pennsylvania, and Massachusetts, our operations deliver essential medicines to patients nationwide. With 50% of medications that are manufactured in the U.S. also sold domestically, we utilize AI-powered production methods and environmentally responsible practices to strengthen our supply and reliably produce our therapeutic portfolio—from complex biologics to essential vaccines. We are actively pursuing opportunities to invest in additional manufacturing facilities and maintain strategic partnerships with U.S.-based Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs) across the U.S.
Our concentrated investment of over $300 million over the past five years—with plans to invest billions more over the next five—has established advanced production capabilities and will allow us to upgrade existing capabilities, pursue the latest technologies and expand collaborations with U.S.-based manufacturing partners.

Advancing Pandemic Preparedness at Swiftwater
Our Swiftwater, Pennsylvania campus represents a cornerstone of American vaccine manufacturing with nearly 130 years of vaccine manufacturing and distribution. With approximately 2,300 employees across 64 buildings, this facility has partnered with the U.S. government to supply vaccines for over two decades.
In early 2026, construction was completed on a state-of-the-art formulation and filling facility – a result of a partnership between Sanofi and the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA), a U.S. government agency focused on pandemic preparedness, reinforcing our commitment to U.S. vaccine security. In addition, the site received FDA approval in January 2026 on a new, recombinant drug substance facility that will also focus on pandemic flu vaccine production.
This investment builds on over $900 million in campus improvements made since 2020, supported by both Sanofi and federal funding.
