Health doesn’t start in the clinic. It starts where we live, in our homes, neighborhoods, schools, and communities.

That understanding helped inspire Sanofi’s Healthy Futures Solution Fund, a commitment to deepen our longstanding community partnerships and expand support for organizations addressing the conditions that shape health and well-being across Massachusetts.

Over the past year, Sanofi has invested $1.125 million across 13 long-term nonprofit partners working to address barriers ranging from food and housing insecurity to transportation and access to care. Through the programs and services supported by that funding, our partners directly reached more than 11,000 people across Massachusetts.

Local knowledge. Meaningful impact.

Our partners know their communities best. They understand that needs can change quickly and that the most effective response isn’t always one that can be anticipated months in advance. The first year of the Healthy Futures Solution Fund demonstrated what that approach can make possible when organizations have the flexibility to respond to the needs they see in their communities.

Community Servings

Community Servings provides medically tailored meals and nutrition services to people living with serious and chronic illnesses. With support from Sanofi, the organization reduced its Food Is Medicine program waitlist by one-third and delivered more than 10,000 medically tailored meals to new clients.

Boston Children’s Hospital’s Healthy in the City

Healthy in the City works with community health centers to help children and families access tools and resources that support healthier, more active lives. With support from Sanofi, the program enrolled more than 1,000 children across 10 community health centers. After one year, half of the participating children had decreased their BMI, while another 4% maintained it.

Hospitality Homes

Hospitality Homes provides temporary housing for families traveling to Boston for medical treatment. With support from Sanofi, the organization helped 133 families access 515 nights of housing, including alternative lodging for patients whose medical needs, length of stay or other circumstances made traditional volunteer host homes impractical.

Trust as a driver of impact

Trust has long been central to our approach to community partnership. The Healthy Futures Solution Fund builds on that foundation, giving trusted organizations greater flexibility to direct resources where they’re needed most – particularly as systemic pressures exacerbate challenges facing the communities they serve.

The organizations doing this work every day understand their communities best. And as needs evolve and new challenges emerge, that local expertise matters even more. By listening to our partners and giving them the flexibility to respond, we can help ensure resources reach communities in ways that are timely and locally informed.

The Healthy Futures Solution Fund is an important part of our broader U.S. CSR mission to drive meaningful, lasting change by investing in trusted community partners. These outcomes reinforce the importance of Sanofi’s approach to ensure that investments translate into improved health access and better care experiences especially in under-supported communities.
